The Republic, Black Mountain ... Under Snow

Today Eden, Itai, Marina, and I drove all the way to the Republic, a lower area of Black Mountain, accessible before the gate is open, only to find snow. Snow everywhere, including on top of the boulders, which sucked, because it basically made every choice problem a waterfall. The "trail" was nice and covered too, so it was nearly impossible to find the boulders, and even harder to find the trail to the gem that we really wanted to try, "Twilight of the Idols."



We realized climbing was pretty much futile, since we aren't into waterfall climbing, said screw it, drove back to LA for a quick session at the gym. Next weekend I'm going to Flagstaff with Jeff, and maybe after we return The Republic and "Twilight ..." won't be under 7 inches of snow.
